Julian Twigg

Julian Twigg's enthusiasm for boats and ports inspire his paintings and prints. Julian's print style is immediate and unfussy, consistent with his impatience to capture what he sees. For the artist, the textured surface is paramount. He travels frequently to Port Kembla for new material for his images. Consistent watching and practice enables him to work quickly and confidently. There is the sense of an artist excited by his medium and subject matter.

Julian studied at the Australian National University completing a Bachelor of Economics. After a brief stint as a stockbroker in London, Julian decided to return to Melbourne to complete a Diploma of Visual Arts at the RMIT.

Julian Twigg is represented by Australian Galleries in Melbourne.
